Earl “Curly” Lambeau was responsible for founding the team, as well as playing and managing them with enormous success. Lambeau led the team to six NFL titles, including three consecutive titles between 1929 and 1931. The only other man to lead a team to three consecutive league championships was Vince Lombardi, who also did this for the Packers! Under his guidance, the team won the NFL Championship in 1965, then the Super Bowl in 1966 and 1967. Another individual standing out is Brett Favre, the quarterback who broke numerous passing records and was named MVP three times. Favre took the Packers to their first Super Bowl in 29 years in 1996, where they defeated the Patriots 35-21.
