Baltimore Evening Sun

The Baltimore Evening Sun was first published in 1910, under the leadership of Charles H. Gratsy, who firmly believed in evening circulation of news. For most of its time publishing, The Baltimore Evening Sun was ahead of the morning publication in circulation figures. However, by the 1980s, readership began to decrease and the newspaper ceased publication in 1995. The Baltimore Evening Sun was distinct from the morning newspaper, reporting separately with different editorial staff members. If you’re after the morning newspaper, you can view our Baltimore Sun archives here.
