Red Guards and White Guards battle for the first time under the Finnish Civil War.

February 10th 1918

Russian Revolutionary, Leon Trotsky declares Russia is leaving the war.

May 16th 1918

US House of Representatives passes the amendment allowing women to vote.

June 4th 1918

French soldiers, with the help of US troops, stop the Germans at Chateau-Thierry in their attempt to cross the Marne.

July 16th 1918

At Ekaterinburg, Siberia, a Bolshevik firing squad execute Tsar Nicholas II of Russia and his family.

August 4th 1918

Soon to be dictator, Adolf Hitler receives the Iron Cross by recommendation of Lieutenant Hugo Gutman, his Jewish superior.

October 26th 1918

General Eric Ludendorff, Germany’s supreme commander resigns, protesting the terms negotiating an armistice by the German Government.

November 7th 1918

Rocket Pioneer, Robert H. Goddard demonstrates tube-launched solid propellant rockets.

November 11th 1918

Germany surrenders, ending World War I.
