About this book

This Personalised Reading History Book is the perfect gift for any Royal. Covering the greatest games and legendary players, the book kicks off with the earliest newspaper reports from 1912, leading right up to the latest season and including the 2022/23 season that saw Reading beat Watford 2-0 in the FA Cup 3rd Round.

Packed with coverage on the team’s victories and defeats, this book charts a glorious history of great games through the 20th century and beyond, such as the 6-0 drubbing of West Ham in 2007 and the side’s 13th consecutive win in 1985 against Lincoln. Once a Royal opens up this edition, they can indulge in Reading’s history, since the team were founded in 1871.

Kicking off with notorious games at Elm Park before the 1998 move to the Madejski Stadium, the edition revisits the most glorious games and players. Infamous figures such as the talented striker Trevor Senior, the fantastic midfielder Phil Parkinson and the skilled Martin Hicks all feature, along with Messrs Harper, Kitson and Doyle from the record-breaking 2006 squad. There is no other Reading memorabilia book like it; fans will gain a real perspective on their favourite team through this one-of-a-kind keepsake.
