To many Man City fans, that moment in 2012 was the biggest in the club’s history. But this grand old institution has well over a century of heritage to celebrate. 

This book takes City fans back in time to the team’s biggest milestone moments, through authentic newspaper articles written by the reporters who were in the stands at the time. It takes in City’s first FA Cup win in 1904, their first league title in 1937, and many more famous days pre- and post-2012 – including the treble-winning season of 2022-23. 

Archivist insight: We reproduce these newspaper articles from the Daily Mirror scan archive. In some cases, there’ll be blemishes and the reproduction quality might not be as clear or precise as it was in the original paper.

If we included every article then the book would be too big to print. We have edited the book to include the most interesting articles about their victories, and defeats, to tell the the full story of the team's history.
