That cup win in 1939, back-to-back league titles in 1949 and 1950, another cup win in 2008 – and even the tough times have been illuminated by key promotion and relegation battles amid the raucous atmosphere of Fratton Park. This book invites Pompey fans to revel in that history, through over 130 pages of authentic newspaper reports from the time.
