The front pages in the ‘40s were covered in World War Two news for the first half of the decade, with the attack on Pearl Harbour in 1941 dominating the news worldwide. Early headlines include the Nazi invasion of Europe, Roosevelt’s ‘Arsenal of Democracy’ speech as well as Gandhi’s death in 1948.
