Coverage begins in 1965 and runs up to the latest season. In that time the Atlanta Falcons have become the team waiting the longest to win a professional football championship, being one of five NFL teams to not taste glory. 

And that was the case for the Falcons in the 2017 Super Bowl. They were up by 28 points up over the Patriots but were dealt a devastating blow when the game entered overtime, leading to a Patriots win. This was the only ever Super Bowl to be decided in overtime.
