About this book

This book documents the historic victories and nailbiting turnarounds of the Rebel’s history from 1927. Readers can chant Fight! Fight! Fight! as they reminisce about the success in the swamp of 2008 with their 31-30 victory over the Gators claiming their 600th win and other memorable games through genuine newspaper articles. Tony the Landshark has been cheering them on from the field since 2018 standing alongside the team as they make a resurgence under the leadership of Lane Kiffin, who led the team to it’s first-ever 10-2 regular season.

Now updated including the 2024 season that saw the Rebels walk away with victory in the Gator Bowl against Duke 52-20! Originally known as the Mississippi Flood, the team was renamed to the Rebels in 1936. Hotty Toddy! Come witness the history of the first football team ever formed in the state through authentic newspaper reports from the time.
