About this book

The start of the 20th century saw the University of Michigan at the pinnacle of college football. The Wolverines won four straight national championships from 1901 to 1904 under coach Fielding Yost, without losing a single game in the process. Michigan would claim another seven national titles up to 1997, the final year of the AP Poll. That ’97 team also gave a young backup quarterback named Tom Brady his first taste of success. Also featured heavily in this Michigan Football book is the Bo Schembechler era, which saw the team win thirteen Big Ten titles between 1969 and 1989, all of which are covered extensively in our book.
