This coffee-table book features over 180 pages of authentic Daily Mirror newspaper reports about The Story of the Beatles. It comes with a choice of covers and the option to have the recipient’s name printed on the cover for free.

About this book

It’s their 278th performance at the Cavern Club, but tonight feels different. The DJ reads out a telegram from the band’s manager: the Beatles have their first UK number one. The crowd goes quiet. Some begin to cry. Up until now, these four boys have belonged to Liverpool. Now, they’ll have to share them with the world.

This book tells the story of how The Fab Four became the biggest-selling band in history, through newspaper articles from the Mirror that followed their every step.

We begin in the early 60s with the dawn of Beatlemania, and end six decades later with Sir Paul McCartney’s headline slot at Glastonbury. Over 185 pages, you’ll revisit all the moments that mattered, on and off the stage: how the band invaded America, high-profile marriages, Abbey Road and the break-up in 1970, and the solo careers in the decades that followed. And of course, you’ll read how reporters chronicled the tragedies – the assassination of John Lennon, and the death of George Harrison.

Archivist insight: We reproduce these newspaper articles from scan archives. In some cases, there’ll be blemishes and the reproduction quality might not be as clear or precise as it was in the original paper.
