About this book

Bobby Moore steps up to receive the FA Cup and holds it aloft. West Ham’s smartly dressed fans, still giddy from Ronnie Boyce’s last-minute winner, serenade the players as they parade the trophy around Wembley (and bonk each other on the head with a giant novelty hammer). West Ham have won the first major trophy in their history.

That was 1964, and the Hammers would go on to win the UEFA Cup Winners Cup the following year – their last European trophy until the Europa Conference League win over half a century later. With this book, West Ham fans can relive the history of their club, right back to 1904, through authentic newspaper reports written at the time. As well as historic cup-winning days, there are decades of key Division 1 and Premier League match reports to teleport fans back to yesteryear.
