May 1963: Brighton fans trudge home from the Goldstone Ground, having seen their team relegated to the fourth tier of English football. November 2023: Brighton fans pack into the bars of Amsterdam to toast a 2-0 win over the legendary Ajax in the Europa League. 60 years is a long time in football.

Brighton fans know well to savour the glorious days. This book charts nearly 100 years of the footballing history that led the Seagulls to their recent heady heights of Premier League football and European qualification.

Going all the way back to 1908, authentic match reports take Seagulls fans on a trip back to the past, guided by the reporters who witnessed every cheer, every groan. The Goldstone, Priestfield, Withdean, Amex – you name it, they were there, notepad in hand.
