About this book

Like many of the Royal family, Princess Anne has attracted headlines since birth. In retrieving the best of those stories from the Telegraph archives, this unique volume evolves into a record of how appreciation of her has grown at home and abroad.

In 2024, the Princess Royal gave the Telegraph Magazine permission to follow her during a typical working week. Royal editor Hannah Furness, who contributes the foreword here, had her work cut out to keep up with the Princess Royal who, in her mid-70s, still fulfils more than 400 royal engagements each year.

The articles reproduced here detail a life full of duty and drama, from charity work to equestrian achievements and accidents – and even a kidnap attempt.
