Joe Namath was true to his word that day in 1969, as the Jets delivered the win that MVP Namath had ‘guaranteed’ several days prior. Although that game stands alone as the Gang Green’s finest achievement, there are plenty more iconic moments in their history.
This book takes Jets fans on a whirlwind tour of that history, through 164 pages of authentic newspaper reports from the New York Daily News. It goes back to the team’s pro debut, competing in 1960 as the New York Titans and winning their debut game against the Bills. Then there’s the ‘Miracle at Meadowlands’ in ’78, the playoff run in 2010 and plenty more.
