Rangers’ greatest night in Europe came on 24th May 1972. Having lost in finals twice already, the Gers made it third time lucky with a 3-2 win over Dynamo Moscow, with Colin Stein netting the opener and Willie Johnston adding a brace. In more recent memory, Rangers made it all the way to the UEFA Cup final in Manchester in 2008, then reached the Europa League Final in 2022.
