About this book

This year marks the 160th anniversary of Nottingham Forest’s formation, when a group of shinty players met in a city-centre pub and decided to switch sports. This Telegraph Custom Gift Book doesn’t quite date back to 1865, but Forest made their first appearance in the newspaper’s pages in 1892 and the 130-odd years since are vividly recalled here in reproduced reports, articles and images from the archives.
