It's 1993 and the Miami Marlins are founded in Florida as part of the expansion of Major League Baseball. The team started out with a bit of a rough start, but they hit their stride in 1997 when they advanced to the postseason, where they went on to win the World Series.
Over the last decade, The Miami Marlins have had a lot of ups and downs but in 2003 they advanced to the postseason as the league’s Wild Card entrant and went on to win their second World Series title over the favored New York Yankees.
