The book itself displays a variety of illustrated newspaper covers determined by any Year selected between 1930 to 1988. From 1930, the Illustrated London News was a weekly publication up until 1971, when the newspaper then became a monthly edition. Therefore, any Year picked between 1930 to 1971 will receive 52 front pages from their selected year, plus 10 iconic front pages, whilst any Year selected from 1972 onwards will receive 12 front pages, plus 50 iconic front pages.

Released during the dawn of the Industrial Revolution in 1842, the Illustrated London News became instantly recognizable. They portrayed a moving panorama of Victorian life and thereafter; politics, galas, races, fairs, ball masques, court festivals, concerts, theater, and world events, are all gathered in this Illustrated London News Archive Book to make up a treasured nostalgic keepsake.

The edition is personalized with the recipient’s Name and the Year you select, all of which will be embossed in foil on the blue hand-bound cover. It’s a gift that will open a window into the enigmatic illustrated world captured by London News.
